Make A Vow

Tue Apr 7, 2009, 7:57 AM
So I'm trying out this new tactic for arting it out. I will do what I want when I want. And right now I'm into illustrating my characters for various writings.

School is really stressful, but I have less stress now since my grandmother has passed away. All the fusing tension in my home has really disappated and I enjoy my home life again. I miss her to death but what happened was for the best.

This week I have to make a presentation over my choice of subject in Anthropology- Egyptian art. My main focus are frescos but I'm also throwing in carved reliefs, statues, and of course the pyramids and sphinx- also have a bit on hieroglyphs. I'm really interested in the subject, I'm just not so sure my classmates are.

Oh well. Que sera, sera.

But I really want to get back into what I like to call fun art. Lately I haven't been doing any kind of art at all. This semester I've been taking 5 classes, including a lab. Its a lot of work but most of the time I find myself picking and choosing which homework and class assignments I want to work on. And its mainly my math that I'm falling way behind in. That class gets me so overwhelmed- I'm just so intimidated by the subject.

My goals after this week is to start bringing a sketch pad to work on in between classes and just doodle. And by doodle I mean my kinds of doodles, not just random pictures and sketches. My definition of doodling is very... off base with the normal conception of the word.

I want to do more pen and ink stuff.

I want to doodle more dragons and horses and creatures.

I just want to do what's in my head.

In any case i will try to put more stuff on here thats more my hand and not so much of fiddling around on my Wacom tablet- which I adore!
